1855 Type 2. AU-50. Still lustrous despite some light, even wear. Minor hairline across Liberty's neck. Always in demand by type set collectors as the scarcest of the three different Gold Dollar designs.

1888. NGC graded Proof 65 Cameo. A stunning gem cameo proof dollar in deep yellow gold. We note a faint "dimple" on her cheek, mentioned mainly for identification purposes. Although 1079 proofs were struck, a healthy mintage at the time, few have survived as choice as this little jewel. Population of 12 with 10 higher. Color photo.
