Cards - "LIEBIG" Collection. Two clean and attractive collections in
original Liebig albums, including a 100 sets of six related foreign trade
cards. Featuring various topics including flowers, plants, fish, monkeys,
birds, sea creatures, ships, worldwide historical events, Indians, and
more. Cards from various European countries, including Italy, Germany and
the Netherlands. Album spines show some wear and one album has splitting at
the front cover, but, overall, the cards are in excellent condition.

complete sets of six of some of the most beautiful foreign Liebig cards
ever published. Housed in an original album, these stunning cards are
incredibly colorful and artistic. Wide range of topics includes astrology,
magicians, children, women, artisans, political and historical figures,
mythology, sports, fantasy subjects, and more. A truly magnificent
collection. Overall, very good to excellent condition.

Foreign Mechanical
Postcards. Lot of six mechanical postcards from the late 19th and early
20th centuries. Two postcards feature mechanical clocks, two are
Christmas-themed cards and two are from Nürnberg. All of the cards are
unused. Minor foxing and toning, edge wear and minor soil. Overall, good to
very good condition.
Beautiful cards with the craftsmanship and
stylistic details characteristic of the period. We particularly note the
attention a card from Nürnberg pays to the manufacture of bratwurst.

Postcard Quality Accumulation. A very attractive group of 134 rare hard
to find cards in sets and singles. Features 3 scarce Italian sets of 12
"Divina Commedia" and "Raffaello" published by Sborgi and Italian Red Cross
cards showing injuries and cures. Also extremely hard to find Russian set
of 12 early unused cards published by C.P.K.A.M. circa 1898. French uniform
series set of 8 (4 different), set of 3 early German ad covers for
Moser-Roth, and 2 beautiful 1897 Leipizg Exposition cards, a German 10 card
installment composite "Weltkrieg 1914-1916" featuring Hindenburg and
various WWI battle scenes all with Feldpost cancellations, early Japanese
cards, Tuck's 18th Century Ttaverns, etc. A beautiful lot. Overall, very
good to excellent condition.

Postcards. Lot of 112 mostly foreign cards. With the balance of the
cards dating from World War I or just after, there are scenes of ruins in
Ypres, Arras, Verdun and other cities. Photographic postcards of soldiers
and wives, sentimental cards about the boys coming home and several
military leaders, including Fochs, also stand out. A handful of items from
later conflicts and a few illustrated cards featuring the Battle of
Waterloo round out the collection. Better items throughout, overall very
good condition.

Mailing Cards - Fantastic Collection 1898-1907. A magnificent group of
238 cards. Features various views and greetings from Portland (Oregon),
sunny south, New York, Staten Island, Chicago, Santa Fe, Colorado, Niagara
Falls, and various national monuments and ships, etc. A variety of
publishers, some very nice sets. Of note is a group of six cards featuring
illustrations of battles of the Spanish-American War. Wonderful views of
Washington D.C. with patriotic emblems. Well worth inspection. Very good to
very fine condition.

c.1898. Also Plymouth Mass 15 different 1902-1908 published by A. Burbank
with Plymouth Rock trademark on back (2 different sizes) used and unused,
set of 10 Pan Am Expo 1901 private mailing cards. Conditions range from

Exposition de 1900, Paris. Lot of 25 beautiful color postcards
illustrating the many exhibits at the Exposition de 1900, Paris. Undivided
backs. Minor toning at some edges, faint album marks - most noticeable on
verso. Very good to fine condition.
This look back at one of the
most magnificent Expositions ever held features delicately colored drawings
depicting such exotic locales as the Illuminated Palace, the Cambodian
Palace, the Royal British Pavilion and the Towers of Berne.

Postcards of Foreign
and U.S. Flags. Lot of 23 postcards featuring U.S. and foreign flags,
many featuring lines of music from the corresponding national anthems. Also
of note are four American flag envelopes, one with a stamp and 1900
cancellation from "Porto Rico." Primarily undivided backs.Toning and
foxing, a few of the cards have visible album marks, the bottom ¼ of
one card is torn away, five cards have noticeable water damage at the top
left. Conditions range from fair to fine.
Likely dating from the
early 20th century, the colorful flags of Great Britain, Sweden, Germany,
Switzerland and other countries make this a very attractive lot. A true
sense of the nationalism that was beginning to simmer worldwide is evident
in these cards with their proudly printed anthems.
