Raphael Kirchner "Couples Between Red Borders". Lot of six beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "Couples Between Red Borders," three cards marked "Nürnberg: Theo. Stroefer's Kunstverlang, Serie 148" with numbers 2, 5, 6; two cards are marked "E.A.W. Druck von Christophe Reissers Söhne, Wien, V." and one is unmarked. Undivided backs. Unused, chip at bottom of one card, same card has corner creases. Overall, very good condition.

Bright red borders frame couples walking in the rain, enjoying an evening out, and sharing a cigarette. Some of the couples act demurely, others seem a little less than respectable.

Raphael Kirchner "Flashing Motorists". Lot of six beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "Flashing Motorists," series 2709, published by Tuck and Sons, London. Divided backs, two cards are slightly larger than the others due to a separate press run (not trimmed). Three cards have been used, edge wear is evident on a few of the cards, one card has a slight smudge on the recto from a postmark. Overall, good to very good condition.

Beautifully colored, featuring saucy motorists in fashionable automobile attire.

Raphael Kirchner Glamour Shots. Lot of four beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "Riquette et son chien," "La pisciculture à Montmartre," "Lulu" and "Danseuse de Montmartre;" published by Marque L-E, Paris. Divided backs. Unused, edge wear, minor soil, "Lulu" has very small surface abrasions. Overall, good to very good condition.

Two semi-nudes and two scenes of the bohemian life make up this lovely collection. Kirchner's later "Glamour" period was a stylistic change from earlier work, but his attention to the female form has remained.

Raphael Kirchner "Marionette". Lot of six beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. Embossed "Marionettes," one card marked "H. M. & Co., London Printed in Germany." Undivided backs, one card has been trimmed. One card has been used, minor edge wear, minor chipping in gold background of three cards. Overall, in very good condition.

Fate, in the guise of beautiful women, plays with courting couples as if they were puppets.

Raphael Kirchner "Moderne Mädchen". Lot of six beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "Moderne Mädchen," two cards marked "Meissner & Buch, Leipzig Künstler Postkarten Serie 1129 'Moderne Mächen' Gesetzt. Geschützt" and four are unmarked. Undivided backs. Unused, minor toning and soil, faint album marks, one card shows small water spot. Overall, very good condition.

Soft colors, beautiful costumes and charming poses make this a lovely group.

Raphael Kirchner "Roma". Lot of ten beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "Roma," series 220, numbers 1-10, published by Theo.Stroefer, Nürenberg. Undivided backs. Unused, edge wear is evident on a few of the cards, one card has a slight smudge on the recto, minor toning, faint album marks on three cards. Overall, in very good condition.

Beautiful women accented with Greco-Roman motifs in wonderful Art Nouveau style.

Raphael Kirchner "San Toy". Lot of six beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "San Toy," unmarked. Undivided backs. One was used in 1903, minor foxing on two cards and one card shows some fading at the top edge. Overall, very good condition.

Apparently the San Toy series originated as a result of an English operetta first performed in 1898. The beautiful Chinese motifs with gilt highlights are quite striking.

Raphael Kirchner "Sweet Fruits". Lot of six beautiful Kirchner postcards, signed in the plate. "Fruits Douces," unmarked. Undivided backs. One used, minor toning and soil, two with light abrasion on the recto -- one of these has a greeting written on the recto. Overall, very good condition.

Beautiful women with various fruits, framed by light green borders -- gorgeous.

Raphael Kirchner -- Assorted Ladies in Purple and Beige. Lot of six beautiful postcards attributed to Kirchner, unsigned. Three postcards feature drawings with purple surrounds, three feature drawings with beige surrounds. Undivided backs. Unused, foxing on verso of all cards, fronts show only very minor corner wear on four cards. Very good condition.

Delicately rendered women pick flowers, tend an altar, play the harp and blow bubbles. Simple, yet captivating, images.
