Street, at San Francisco. White paper with red ink, inscribed in black ink. The
deposit is for 99.71 ounces at a value of $1,774.51. A splendid piece of Gold

memorandum is for a gold bar deposited at the San Francisco Branch Mint,
weighing 49.10 ounces or $966.97. The deposit was made by Wells Fargo & Co. and
Palmer. The memorandum is in blue paper with red ink, and inscribed in dark ink
with excellent penmanship. Signed by Zeke (?) Walton, for Treasurer of the
Branch Mint. A fascinating piece of Gold Rush era history.

Memorandum of Gold Bullion deposited. Very Fine. This memorandum was
issued by Assay Office of Blake & Co., Silver City, Idaho Territory on December
3, 1871. On white paper with red ink lines and black ink lettering. The deposit
is for 791.00 ounces of crude bullion, both gold and silver, which were refined
with a value of $1,410.64. Boldly signed "Blake & Co." at the bottom, and
inscribed to Owyhee M. Co./Pourman Dump. A better item from the Idaho
Territory.

better. This one was not used, and has some water staining on the lower
margins. There is a pretty vignette on the left of Liberty. On light brown
