Diva Faustina, wife of Antoninus Pius. Two AR Denarii, Rome mint, struck after 141 AD. Each with draped bust of Faustina right. Reverse: One with Ceres standing left, holding torch (RIC 362); other, Ceres standing left, holding corn ears and torch (RIC 360). Both toned, one deeply so. First on thick, compact flan. First Superb Extremely Fine, second Choice Very Fine.

Roman Silver Coin Lot, 2nd-3rd Century AD. Roman lot comprised of 5 denarii and 2 antoniniani. Included are: Antoninus Pius, Aequitas reverse (RIC 61); Elagabalus, Fides reverse (C. 32); two of Severus Alexander, Jupiter (C. 76) and Victory (C. 56) reverses; and Maximinus, Concordia reverse (C. 31). The antoniniani of: Gordian III, Concordia reverse (C. 62); and Philip I, Aequitas reverse (C. 9). In an addition, a silver drachm of Vologases III, 105-147 AD. Lot of 8 coins. Very Fine on average, one or two better.

Marcus Aurelius, 161-180 AD. Gold Aureus (7.2 g), Rome mint, struck 168 AD. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Aurelius right. Reverse: Aequitas seated left, holding scales and cornucopia. RIC 190; C. 900; BMCRE 466 (same dies). Well centered, sharp strike. Lustrous, with faintly reddish toning. Superb, Nearly Mint State. Attractive and choice.

Marcus Aurelius, 161-180 AD. Gold Aureus (7.25g). Bare headed draped and cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius right. Reverse: Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus standing shaking hands. Issued 161/162 AD. RIC 42. Bold and well centered, with attractive high relief portrait and Boscoreal-like toning. A few edge marks, probably ex jewelry. Very Fine.

Marcus Aurelius, 161-180 AD, as Caesar. Two AR Denarii, struck 140-149 AD. One with youthful bare head right, the second similar but with light beard. Reverse: Earliest with sacrificial implements (RIC 424a); other with Providentia standing left, globe at feet (RIC 446). Both nicely toned. Both Choice Very Fine.
