Hitler, Adolf. (1889-1945) Austrian, German Führer, Nazi Dictator. Government Card Signed. 3¾ x 2½", on cream card stock. Stamped with the gold embossed seal of the Third Reich, and gilt imprinted with Hitler's name. Boldly signed in full, "Adolf Hitler."
Estimated Value $1,500-2,250.
I had a friend in the OSS whose team entered the Reichstag early on. Upon seeing signed documents throughout, they placed the material in boxes and sent them 'home'. When my friend died, his widow called to ask my help with some of the material. In gratitude, she gave me the Hitler cards. -- Gerry Burg.

The Ultimate Harry Houdini Inscribed Visiting Card

Lot 311
Houdini, Harry. (1874-1926) American Magician and Escape Artist. Inscribed Visiting Card Signed. 3 x 2", on manila card stock. An engraved portrait adorns the right portion of Houdini's calling card, which brandishes the printed name "Houdini" at upper left, and gives the elusive magicians "permanent" address at bottom left. Houdini has written a playful inscription on the verso of the card in bright green ink which reads: "Only Judy will be able to open this chest! Houdini." Also includes an inscribed Calling card from Houdini's wife, Beatrice. Two water spots are evident in the inscription, one affecting the J in "Judy", the other is located on the H in "Houdini." .
Estimated Value $1,000-1,500.
While visiting an antique store in San Diego, I saw an old frame with the Houdini card which I, of course purchased. -- Gerry Burg.
