Cordial letter in which the future President writes:
"Dear Bob, I
was so pleased to know that David Trapp enjoyed thoroughly his opportunity to
see and hear in person the State of the Union speech. Your kind comments about
Betty's influence was, of course, deeply appreciated. The arrangements for the
national convention are being made by the National Committee. I can only
suggest, therefore, that anyone who is interested in obtaining tickets get in
touch with the National Committeeman or National Committeewoman from his
state...Sincerely, Gerry."
Ford adds, in a holograph postscript,
"P.S. If I get any tickets I will keep Dave & you in mind. J." .
