Zola, Emile. Inscribed Visiting Card
Signed. 4 x 2½", on off-white card stock. Inscribed with an
interesting message that shows us how Zola used visiting cards to communicate
urgent, personal messages to his close friends and associates. Zola writes his
note, which is in French, above and below his printed name: "Dear
colleagues, would you have the extreme kindness to keep this letter and give it
to Mr. Rodays as soon as he arrives? I know that he is at the "Figaro" Thursday
or Friday and I'm afraid that he won't get my letter. Thank you a thousand
times, and all my regards to you. Emile Zola." Boldly signed, decorative,
with intriguing content.
Estimated Value $300-450.
