Stanley, Sir Henry M. (1841-1904) British Explorer and Journalist. Annotated Calling Card. 4 x 2", on white card stock. Stanley's card as an employee of the "New York Herald." With a curious inscription on the verso which appears to be a note about weights and measures: "10 pieces in a [ ? ]. 5 - ½ a [same word]." Moderate staining to periphery of recto.
