Harte, Francis Brett. (1839-1902) American Author, best known for his classic short story, The Luck of Roaring Camp (1870). Inscribed Visiting Card Signed. 4½ x 3½", on cream card stock with raised blue imprinted address. Harte writes: "Saturday A.M. My dear Douglas Murray, I accept your invitation for the 27th with great pleasure. I am hard at work now, if I can get a free hour on Wednesday, I'll drop in at 5. Sincerely yours, Brett Harte." Slight crease along center.
