PERU. Cob 8 Reales, ND-Assayer, Rincon (c.1568). Similar to Calbeto-243. 26.7 grams. Unfortunately only a couple of features can be seen. D.HIS and R clearly seen and a faint outline of the lion in lower left quarter. First series Rincon cob 8 reales is the first crown of the America's circa 1568 and is extremely rare. The finest known example realized nearly $200,000 at the time. Strictly as a filler this example would be acceptable to the collector that wants an affordable example of this first crown. Poor.
