Valens, 364-378 AD. Gold Solidus (4.4g). Minted at Constantinopolis. Rosette-diademed, draped bust of Valens to right. Reverse: Emperor standing, holding labarum and Victory on globe. RIC 3c. Cf. 4104. Excellent late Roman style. Antique scratch is noted behind the emperor's head. Nearly Extremely Fine.
