Anthemius, 467-472 AD. Gold Solidus (4.2g). Minted in Rome. Helmeted and draped bust facing, holding spear and shield. Reverse: Anthemius and Leo I standing facing side by side, holding between them cross on globe and each holding spear. RIC 282s var. S-4365; C-7. A most pleasing example with full legends. Some faint scratches and pin pricks in the obverse fields. Very Fine. Very Rare.
