Antoninus Pius, 138-161 AD. AE Sestertius. Rome mint, struck 139 AD. Laureate head of Pius right. Reverse: Fortuna standing left, holding cornucopia and rudder resting atop globe; FORTVNA AVGVSTI COS II SC. Not listed in RIC under Sestertii, but type present in the As category. Seemingly rare. Porosity in the fields, but well centered, fully and sharply struck, and overall quite pleasing. A choice quality bronze. Nearly Extremely Fine.
