Julius Caesar, d. 44 BC. AR Denarius (4.1g), 42 BC, L. Livineius Regulus, moneyer. Laureate head of Caesar right, between laurel branch and caduceus. Reverse: Bull charging right, L. LIVINEIVS REGVLVS in field around. Cr. 494/24; Syd 1106. Excellent posthumous portrait, well struck up. Lightly toned. A very pleasant example of Caesar's popular coinage. Slight banker's marks on cheek and neck; reverse a bit off center. Choice Very Fine.
