World Crowns and Minors

Lot 4989
SPAIN. 20 Reales, 1851 (Barcelona). Dav-333; Y-23.1. Isabella II. The queen's soft portrait is completely unblemished, as are the surrounding fields, which are reflective. On the reverse, only the central right quadrant of the shield shows any marks. The fields on this side are also prooflike. The toning is a delicate swirl of iridescent gold, lilac, magenta and gray. So, here is one of the finest Veinte Reales to be found anywhere. Choice Uncirculated.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
Purchased from Ira S. Reed, 2/27/46 for $2.50.
