Attica, Athens. 479-449 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.9 g). Head of Athena wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with three olive-leaves and floral scroll. Reverse: Owl within small incuse square; on left, olive-spray and small crescent. Cf. SNG ANS 31-32. Lovely archaic style and well struck, lightly toned. Extremely Fine.
